Crisis Intervention Support

With just one call, Rummage Rescuers CIC can help provide household items for people in a crisis situation.

We are a Community Interest Company based in Blackburn and have recently introduced a membership service where we can not only source all the required items but deliver them too.

The scheme is aimed at Third Sector organisations who deal with local residents in the Blackburn and Darwen area who are going through crisis and in need of help and support.

Items such as essential household furniture, clothing, school uniforms, toiletries and sanitary products are basic needs, but it can take employees in statutory and voluntary servicers a number of days to source goods required.

For a yearly membership fee of £999, organisations can call on Rummage Rescuers to provide a wide range of new/preloved items for those in need of support.  The support is available to use multiple times within that year.

Local businesses are also encouraged to get involved by raising £999 to “pay it forward” to support smaller charities & not for profit organisations.

With a yearly membership, Rummage Rescuers can continue to provide a sustainable service to help those who are needy by going straight to the source of the support.   It gives local businesses the opportunity to use their Corporate Social Responsibility to think local and act personal to support families and individuals in their community, they can also refer their work colleagues to the scheme.”
