Fundraising & Business Support.
We want to help as many people as we can. We regularly run fundraising campaigns & events to raise money for good causes and projects that will benefit our community. The majority of our funding comes from our amazing customers and regular donators, however, we also work with local businesses within Blackburn & Darwen, receiving generous cash and item donations to help our cause. We are very grateful for the National Lottery who have funded several of our projects, allowing us to help hundreds of people over the years.

How do we help?
Pound Pending
Pounds pending is a community support scheme that is aimed to help those in a crisis situation, for instance, homeless people, domestic violence victims and many others. The public is able to donate money which can be used to provide essential items to those in need.
We can provide the following items from our shops to those in crisis:
- Coats
- Scarfs
- Gloves
- Jumpers
- Blankets
- Furniture
- Food
- Toiletries
If you’re in need, please visit one of our community shops and ask for goods via Pound Pending. We would like to say a massive thank you to all the kind donators that keep this amazing scheme going and help other members of the community that are in need.
Our Volunteers
Our volunteers are encouraged and supported in their steps to employment through further training opportunities, allowing them to obtain new skillsets.
Giving Items a Second Chance.
We are a nation of throwing away. Millions of reusable clothes, shoes & household items are sent to landfill every year. At Rummage Rescuers, we want to help combat this issue by giving all our items of stock a second chance, passing them on to somebody who can have further use.
