With just one call, Rummage Rescuers can help provide all the necessary items for people in a crisis-situation, such as fleeing domestic or house fire.
Items such as furniture, school uniforms, toiletries and sanitary products are basic needs, but it can take employees in service land days of phoning or attending meetings to source goods required.
Rummage Rescuers, based in Blackburn, have introduced a membership service where they not only source all the required items but deliver them as well.
The scheme is aimed at Organisations that deal with people living in the Blackburn and Darwen area who going through crisis and in need of help and support.
For a yearly membership fee of £999, organisations can call on the support of Rummage Rescuers to provide a range of preloved items for those in need at a time they need it.
Organisations can use the service multiple times a year.
Local Businesses are also encouraged to get involved by raising the £999 to “pay it forward” to support smaller charities/nonprofit organisations.

“Whenever there is a need, just one call to us with a list of items needed, and we will get everything together and deliver it in and around the Blackburn and Darwen area for no other cost.
Everything is included – it’s a one-stop shop, and this isn’t just a one time a year call, it can be up to 12 times a year if needed.
This means Rummage Rescuers can continue to provide a sustainable service to help those who are struggling without them being passed from pillar to post. It gives local businesses an opportunity to use their Corporate Social Responsibility to think local and act personal to support families in their community, they can even refer their work colleagues to the scheme, many working families are struggling given the rising cost of living.”
