Welcome to the Rummage Rescuers family of shoppers, donators and volunteers
Rummage Rescuers is a community-driven organisation based in Blackburn, Lancashire and through our outlets, has been supporting local people with household items, clothing and many other items at affordable prices.
Rummage Rescuers’s founder, Liz Crook, started Rummage Rescuers in 2015 to address the needs of Blackburn with Darwen residents with clothing. The first shop to open was Mill Hill shop, based in the bustling and thriving community of Mill Hill itself. Our second shop, 5C Town Hall St is based in the heart of Blackburn’s town centre. Both shops offer a range of clothing, shoe, small household items and accessories. The shops are stocked with items that are donated via local communities and local organisations.
Our furniture warehouse stocks bulk items of furniture donated by local people. Open to the public, the warehouse offers a collection and delivery service.
Rummage Rescuers does much more than the above. We work closely with statutory and private organisations in supporting people in need locally and particularly people moving from temporary to permanent accommodation. Rummage Rescuers is staffed by volunteers and accepts placements from Department of Work and Pensions, Lancashire Probation Trust and Blackburn College of Higher Education.
Welcome to Rummage Rescuers.
